When we started shaping the direction of IVS, we were challenged to look beyond the basics of staying in business or turning a profit. We were asked to reflect on a deeper question: Why does IVS exist? That question took us back to our origins—why the company was founded, the needs it aimed to meet, and the kind of impact we hoped to make.

We started with the core concept of building a platform that would serve the needs of a diverse set of customers. Through our work in vast markets throughout healthcare, education, government, and corporate environments we quickly saw the power of our technology to transform how people learn, train, teach, interview, and care. The needs change but the 'Why' was the same, 'To create success and improve lives'.

For many of us, the idea of “success” started out personal—supporting our families, building stability, and creating new opportunities in a career. For our customers, it might mean smoother workflows, improved feedback and self-reflection or efficient video management. However, as IVS grew, so did our understanding of what success truly meant.

With every installation of VALT, our video observation platform, we witnessed the direct impact on our customers’ lives. Educators found new, easier ways to train future healthcare professionals. Therapists and researchers gained tools to support individuals with autism, behavioral challenges, and other complex needs. Law enforcement and CACs were able to solve cases for victims. Our solutions didn’t just make their work easier—they helped them serve others more effectively.
