Benefits of VALT Video Capture Software for Counseling Training

The VALT software gives you the ability to allow different groups of people to share the same infrastructure, yet the individual users, cameras, and content can be isolated. This arrangement permits organizations such as therapy clinics to use a single platform, which lowers costs and simplifies overall management of the system, while at the same time addressing the widely diverse needs of different individuals and departments.

Watching and recording live clinical therapy sessions is extremely easy. Users with proper permissions can access the software over the network using a common Internet browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Users can also watch live clinical sessions with nearly every device, including Mac, PC, tablets, or smartphones. Users and instructors can access up to nine rooms and cameras simultaneously.

Clinical Treatment Session Recording

Initiating recordings with VALT is very simple and straightforward. Session recordings may be initiated via a common Internet browser, a built-in automatic scheduler, or a physical button located in or outside of the counseling room. Each recording of therapy sessions is stamped with metadata that allows users to easily locate and track their video content. VALT video is recorded in the standard MP4 format utilizing h.264 compression, making session videos easy to share and store while simultaneously minimizing network traffic. Therapy clinic video recording sessions are immediately available on the network — there is no lag time.

Software for Clinical Skills Training, Assessment, and CAPREP Accreditation

VALT provides both on-site and mobile solutions for the recording of clinical sessions. Multiple cameras may be grouped in therapy rooms and synchronized together. In cases where an off-site application is required, such as for recording at a remote counseling clinic, our new IVS Beam application allows users to capture sessions using an iPad. Beam enables users to record counseling and therapy sessions remotely and automatically syncs the video with the Valt server when the user returns.

VALT has been specifically designed for use with high definition network cameras. Customers can choose from a broad range of high definition pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) and fixed cameras. The cameras are combined with high-quality microphones and audio equipment which provide a high-definition audio and video experience.
